STRONGS NT 1599a: ἐκπερισσῶς ἐκπερισσῶς, adverb, exceedingly, out of measure, the more: used of intense earnestness, Mark 14:31 L T Tr WH (for Rec. ἐκ περισσοῦ); not found elsewhere. But see ὑπερεκπερισσῶς.

P Leid Wx. 11 (ii/iii A.D.) τῶν (l. τὸν) ἦχον δυναμικώτερον ἐκπέμπει. The verb is common in judicial proceedings of ";sending up"; to trial, e.g. P Ryl II. 132.19 (A.D. 32) ἀρχεφό (δῳ) · ἔκπεμψο (ν), ib. 148.28 (A.D. 40) ὅπως. . . ἐκπέμψῃ σοι τοὺς αἰτίους, P Tebt II. 290.1 (an order for arrest—i/ii A.D.) ἔκπεμψον Γαλάτην καὶ τὴν τούτου γυναῖκα, P Oxy II. 237vii. 25 (A.D. 186) ἵνα οἱ ἀντίδικοι ἐκπεμφθῶσι. For a weakened sense, practically = the simple verb, see P Tebt I. 55.6 (late ii/B.C.) χαριεῖ οὖν ἐκπέμψας ἡμῖν φακοῦ (ἀρτάβας) β ̄, ";you will therefore confer a favour on me by sending me two artabae of lentils"; (Edd.), and P Oxy IX. 1223.11 (late iv/A.D.) σπούδασον πάραυτα τὸν ναύτην ἐπὶ τὴν πόλειν ἅμα τῷ πεμφθέντι συμμάχῳ ἐκπέμψαι, ";make haste to send the sailor to the city at once with the attendant whom I have sent"; (Ed.). The double compound συνεκπέμπω, used by Plato and Xenophon, is found in BGU IV. 1127.36 (B.C. 8).
