Berean Study Bible
but keep watching it. If it goes up the road to its homeland, vvv toward Beth-shemesh, it is the LORD who has brought on us - this great disaster. But if it does not, then we will know that it was not His hand that punished us and that it happened - by chance."
English Standard Version
and watch If it goes up on the way to its own land to Beth-shemesh then it is he who has done us this great harm but if not then we shall know that it is not his hand that struck us it happened to us by coincidence
Holman Christian Standard Version
Then watch: If it goes up the road to its homeland toward Beth-shemesh, it is the Lord who has made this terrible trouble for us. However, if it doesn't, we will know that it was not His hand that punished us - it was just something that happened to us by chance."
King James Version
And see (8804), if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Bethshemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us: it was a chance that happened to us (8804).
Lexham English Bible
You must watch; if it goes up by the way of its territory to Beth Shemesh, he has caused this great disaster to comeon us. But if not, then we will know his hand has not struck us; it was by chance that this happened to us.
New American Standard Version
"Watch, if it goes up by the way of its own territory to Beth-shemesh, then He has done us this great evil. But if not, then we will know that it was not His hand that struck us; it happened to us by chance."
World English Bible
Behold; if it goes up by the way of its own border to Beth Shemesh, then he has done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that struck us; it was a chance that happened to us."
