"to imprison," akin to phulax, "a guard, a keeper," and phulasso, "to guard," and B, below, is used in Acts 22:19 .

(Strong's #5438 — Noun Feminine — phulake — foo-lak-ay' )

besides its other meanings, denotes "imprisonment," in 2 Corinthians 6:5 (plural); Hebrews 11:36 . See CAGE.
