(c.1377-1447) Cardinal, Bishop of Winchester, born Beaufort Castle, Anjou, France; died Winchester, England. He was thrice appointed chancellor of England; assisted the pope in the Hussite war; and crowned the King of France in Paris (1431). He completed Winchester Cathedral, where he is buried.
