Virgin, born Rodin, Flanders, 742; died Munster-Bilsen, 772. As a youth Charlemagne sought her in marriage, and attempted to abduct her, but was unable to move her from the altar where she had taken refuge. She became a Benedictine nun at Munster-Bilsen.
