NAARAH (‘girl’). 1 .One of the wives of Ashhur the ‘father’ of Tekoa ( 1 Chronicles 4:5 f.). 2 . A town of Ephralm ( Joshua 16:7; called in 1 Chronicles 7:28 Naaran ). It is perhaps the ruin el-’ Aujeh , 6 miles N. of Jericho.
