פַּתְרוֹס

(path' rahss) Hebrew transliteration of Egyptian term for Upper (southern) Egypt. Upper Egypt included the territory between modern Cairo and Aswan. The NIV translates the term; other translations transliterate (Isaiah 11:11; Jeremiah 44:1 ,Jeremiah 44:1,44:15; Ezekiel 29:14; Ezekiel 30:14 ).
