(gihssh' puh) Personal name of uncertain meaning. Supervisor of Temple servants in days of Nehemiah (Nehemiah 11:21 ). It does not appear in the lists in Chronicles and Ezra, so some Bible students think the name is a copyist's change from Hasupha, which the Jews would pronounce similarly (Ezra 2:43; Nehemiah 7:46 ).
