Whole Bible (37)Old Testament (1)Individual Books (1)
Verses 1-18
2 Chronicles 2:1-18 . Preparations for the Building of the Temple (see notes on 1 Kings 5:5-18).— Though the general narrative in the parallel passages is the same, the Chronicler’ s account varies in detail sufficiently from that in 1 K. to suggest the probability that the Chronicler used a different source.
2 Chronicles 2:14 . of the daughters of Dan: in 1 Kings 7:14 “ of the tribe of Naphthali” ; a number of other variations of this kind bears out what has just been said as to the Chronicler’ s source.
