Luke 6:1-5

(Deuteronomy 23:25). Jewish leaders argued that "rubbing them in the hands" constitued threshing, which was work.

Verse 5

Luke 6:5

The ultimate conclusion was that Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath, that is, He has authority even over matters of the Law.

Verse 9

Luke 6:9

He showed that refusing to do good on the Sabbath was tantamount to doing evil. If suffering is not alleviated, then one is doing evil to the sufferer.

This section is very much like the Sermon on the Mount - Matt 5-6-7

1) Is this the idential time and place?

2) Or is this sermon preached in different places and time - yes!

Often preachers will preach the same sermon in different places. Someone said, "A good sermon worth giving once, is worth repeating!"
