¹ A Song, A Psalm of David. My heart is fixed, O God; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises, even with my glory.² Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake the dawn.³ I will give thanks to you, O Yahweh, among the peoples; And I will sing praises to you among the nations.⁴ For your loving-kindness is great above the heavens; And your truth [reaches] to the skies.⁵ Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, And your glory above all the earth.

⁶ That your beloved may be delivered, Save with your right hand, and answer me.⁷ God has spoken in his holiness: I will exult; I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.⁸ Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the defense of my head; Judah is my scepter.⁹ Moab is my washpot; On Edom I will cast my shoe; Over Philistia I will shout.¹⁰ Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who has led me to Edom?¹¹ Haven't you cast us off, O God? And you don't go forth, O God, with our hosts.¹² Give us help against the adversary; For vain is the help of man.¹³ Through God we shall do valiantly: For it is he that will tread down our adversaries.
