Simplified Cowboy Version

Revelation 6

1 I watched as the Lamb tore off the first seal. Then one of the four creatures roared, "Ride out!"

2 What I saw was a cowboy on a white horse with a bow and a crown. He rode out to conquer the world and be triumphant in many battles.

3 Then the Lamb tore off the second seal. The second creature roared, "Ride out!" 4 Another horse rode out. It was a sorrel horse with the deepest color of red I'd ever seen. The cowboy who rode it was given the power to wage war on earth and make people slaughter each other. He rode tall in the saddle with a large sword held in his hand.

5 Then the Lamb tore off the third seal. The third creature roared, "Ride out!" This time the horse was midnight black. The cowboy held a set of balancing scales in his hand. 6 From among the creatures, a voice said, "A quart of wheat and three of barley for a day's wage. Take all the oil and wine you want."

7 Then the Lamb tore off the fourth seal. The fourth creature roared, "Ride out!" 8 This horse was pale grey and its rider was called Death, and Hell was right behind him. They were given power over a quarter of the earth. They were to kill by war, famine, disease, and wild beasts.

9 Then the Lamb tore off the fifth seal. All of a sudden, I could see underneath the throne. There were all the cowboys and cowgirls who'd been slain for riding for the Lord. 10 They all shouted out, "Mighty God! How long before you judge the earth for our deaths?" 11 Each of them were given a white shirt and told to wait a little bit longer. They had to wait until the complete number of other cowboys and cowgirls had been killed for their faith.

12 The Lamb tore off the sixth seal. The earth shook with a violent quake and the sun went out. The moon turned blood red. 13 Stars fell from the sky like figs shaken from a tree during a storm. 14 The sky slammed shut like a big book, and every mountain and island was moved from its foundation. 15 All the people of the earth, whether powerful or weak, hid themselves in caves under rocks. 16 They all cried out, "Crush us with the weight of the world! It is better than being seen by the One on the throne and suffering the wrath of the Lamb! 17 Nobody can bear their anger."
