A Little Advice for Jigger Bosses and Young Cowboys

1 I've got a little advice for the jigger bosses of the church like me. I've seen what Christ suffered for and I'll get the reward he has set aside for that. I'm seriously asking you 2 to look after the herd God has trusted you with. Do your jobs because you want to, not because you have to. Don't even do it for the reward, do it because you want to please God. 3 Don't ask anyone to do something you're not willing to do or haven't done. Be a good example of what a top hand looks like. 4 And when the best Top Hand comes back, you will get your trophy buckle for the work you've done.

5 Now, let me speak to the young hands. Do what the jigger bosses tell you to. If they want your opinion, they will ask. Keep yourself humble and help each other out. The Good Book says, "God turns his back on the proud, but gives grace to the humble." 6 So be humble and God's powerful hand will lift you up in good time. 7 Leave all your frettin' in God's tack room because he loves you and doesn't want you packin' it around.

8 Keep your head on a swivel and pay attention. The outlaw, the devil, stalks you every minute of every day like a hungry lion. 9 Keep both feet in the stirrups of faith and don't turn your back on him. Everyone who rides for Jesus has to deal with the devil, too. 10 But don't think the suffering will last forever. God's grace is going to make you eternal, perfect, stout, strong, and with a solid foundation that cannot be knocked down. 11 This is God's power forever! Amen.

A Final Adios

12 Silas helped me write this little letter to y'all. He's a good pard and faithful to Christ. I hope this encourages you and all I've written is true. Believe it.

13 God's outfit in Babylon says to tell y'all hello and so does Mark. 14 Give everyone a hearty handshake to show God's love for each other.

May you in ride in peace and for the brand of Christ.
