Jattir: Jattir or Jether, according to Eusebius, was situated in the district of Daroma, or the southern part of Judah, 20 miles - south from Eleutheropolis, towards the city of Malatha. Joshua 15:48, 1 Samuel 30:27, 1 Samuel 30:28

Then Abraham complained to Abimelech about a well that Abimelech's servants had taken by force from Abraham's servants.
Then he named the place Beersheba (which means "well of the oath"), because that was where they had sworn the oath.
Then Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba, and there he worshiped the Lord , the Eternal God.
The next morning Abraham got up early. He saddled his donkey and took two of his servants with him, along with his son, Isaac. Then he chopped wood for a fire for a burnt offering and set out for the place God had told him about.
Then they returned to the servants and traveled back to Beersheba, where Abraham continued to live.

The thirteen priestly cities (see the marginal references) were all in the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin. Thus, as Calvin remarks, God so overruled it that the priestly families were placed upon the spot which He had determined before hand to choose as the site of His temple.
