Psalms 84
Blessed Is the Man Who Trusts in You
1 How lovely are Your (C1)dwelling places,
O Yahweh of hosts!
2 My (C1)soul has longed and even (F1)fainted for the courts of Yahweh;
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the (C2)living God.
3 Even the bird has found a home,
And the swallow a nest for herself, where she sets her young,
At Your (C1)altars, O Yahweh of hosts,
(C2)My King and my God.
4 How (C1)blessed are those who dwell in Your house!
They are (C2)ever praising You. Selah may mean Pause, Crescendo, Musical Interlude">(F1)Selah.
5 How blessed is the man whose (C1)strength is in You,
In (F1)whose heart are the (C2)highways to Zion!
6 Passing through the valley of (F1)Baca they make it a (F2)spring;
The (C1)early rain also wraps it up with blessings.
7 They (C1)go from strength to strength,
(F1)Each one of them (C2)appears before God in Zion.
8 O (C1)Yahweh God of hosts, hear my prayer;
Give ear, O (C2)God of Jacob! Selah.
9 See our (C1)shield, O God,
And look upon the face of (C2)Your anointed.
10 For (C1)better is a day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere.
I would choose to stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For Yahweh God is (C1)a sun and (C2)shield;
Yahweh gives grace and (C3)glory;
(C4)No good thing does He withhold (F1)from those who walk blamelessly.
12 O Yahweh of hosts,
How (C1)blessed is the man who trusts in You!
