Psalms 63
My Soul Thirsts for You
1 O God, (C1)You are my God; I shall seek You (F1)earnestly;
My soul (C2)thirsts for You, my flesh (F2)yearns for You,
In a (C3)dry and weary land without water.
2 Thus I have (C1)beheld You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.
3 Because Your (C1)lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips will laud You.
4 Thus I will bless You (C1)as long as I live;
I will (C2)lift up my hands in Your name.
5 My soul is (C1)satisfied as with fatness and richness,
And my mouth offers (C2)praises with lips of joyful songs.
6 When I remember You (C1)on my bed,
I meditate on You in the (C2)night watches,
7 For (C1)You have been my help,
And in the (C2)shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
8 My soul (C1)clings (F1)to You;
Your (C2)right hand upholds me.
9 But those who (C1)seek my (F1)life to destroy it,
Will go into the (F2)(C2)depths of the earth.
10 (F1)They will be (C1)delivered over to the power of the sword;
They will be a (C2)portion for foxes.
11 But the (C1)king will be glad in God;
Everyone who (C2)swears by Him will boast,
For the (C3)mouths of those who speak lies will be closed.
