Psalms 60
Through God We Shall Do Valiantly
1 O God, (C1)You have rejected us. You have (F1)(C2)broken us;
You have been (C3)angry; Oh, (C4)restore us.
2 You have made the (F1)(C1)land quake, You have split it open;
(C2)Heal its breaches, for it shakes.
3 You have (C1)caused Your people to see hardship;
You have given us (F1)wine to (C2)drink that causes reeling.
4 You have given a (C1)banner to those who fear You,
(F1)In order to flee to it from the bow. Selah may mean Pause, Crescendo, Musical Interlude">(F2)Selah.
5 (C1)That Your (C2)beloved may be rescued,
(C3)Save with Your right hand, and answer (F1)us!
6 God has spoken in His (F1)(C1)holiness:
"I will exult, I will portion out (C2)Shechem and measure out the valley of (C3)Succoth.
7 "(C1)Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine;
(C2)Ephraim also is the (F1)helmet of My head;
Judah is My (F2)(C3)scepter.
8 "(C1)Moab is My washbowl;
Over (C2)Edom I shall throw My shoe;
Make a loud shout, O (C3)Philistia, because of Me!"
9 Who will bring me into the fortified city?
Who (F1)will lead me to Edom?
10 Have You Yourself, O God, not (C1)rejected us?
And (C2)will You, O God, not go forth with our armies?
11 Oh give us help against the adversary,
For (C1)salvation (F1)by man is worthless.
12 (F1)Through God we shall (C1)do valiantly,
And it is He who will (C2)tread down our adversaries.
