Psalms 24

   |

The King of Glory

Of David. A Psalm.

1 The (C1)earth is Yahweh's, as well as its fullness,
The (C2)world, and those who dwell in it.

2 For He has (C1)founded it upon the seas
And established it upon the rivers.

3 Who may (C1)ascend into the (C2)mountain of Yahweh?
And who may rise in His holy (C3)place?

4 He who has (C1)innocent hands and a (C2)pure heart,
Who has not (C3)lifted up his soul (F1)to worthlessness
And has not (C4)sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall lift up a (C1)blessing from Yahweh
And (F1)(C2)righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 (F1)This is the generation of those who (C1)seek Him,
Who seek Your face—pay heed O Jacob. Selah
may mean Pause, Crescendo, Musical Interlude">(F2)Selah.

7 (C1)Lift up your heads, O gates,
And be lifted up, O (F1)ancient doors,
That the King of (C2)glory may come in!

8 Who is this King of glory?
Yahweh (C1)strong and mighty,
Yahweh (C2)mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O gates,
And lift yourselves up, O (F1)ancient doors,
That the King of (C1)glory may come in!

10 Who is He, this King of glory?
Yahweh of (C1)hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah.
