One day he and his disciples got into a boat, and he told them, “Let’s cross over to the other side of the lake.”
Now it came to passe on a certaine day, that he went into a ship, with his disciples: and hee said vnto them, Let vs goe ouer vnto the other side of the lake, and they lanched foorth.
Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, "Let us go across to the other side of the lake." So they set out,

And it came to pass, on one of the days, that he himself went into a boat with his disciples, and he said unto them, `We may go over to the other side of the lake;' and they set forth,
And it fortuned vpon a certayne daye, yt he wente in to a shippe, and his disciples wt him, & he sayde vnto the: Let vs passe ouer to the other syde of ye lake. And they thurst of fro the lode.
The same day Jesus went on board a vessel with his disciples, and said to them, let us pass over to the other side of the lake: and so they put off to sea.
One day he and his disciples got in a boat. "Let's cross the lake," he said. And off they went. It was smooth sailing, and he fell asleep. A terrific storm came up suddenly on the lake. Water poured in, and they were about to capsize. They woke Jesus: "Master, Master, we're going to drown!" Getting to his feet, he told the wind, "Silence!" and the waves, "Quiet down!" They did it. The lake became smooth as glass.
One day, Jesus jumped in a boat and they headed for the other side of the lake.

—Six days shalt thou work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest; in ploughing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
And they say not in their heart, Let us now fear Jehovah our God, that giveth rain, both the early and the latter, in its season; who preserveth unto us the appointed weeks of harvest.

Now it came to pass on a certain day,.... The same day at even, as Mark says, Mark 4:35 in which he delivered the parables of the sower, and of the seed cast into the ground, and of the grain of mustard seed:
that he went into a ship with his disciples; they following him into it, Matthew 8:23
and he said unto them, let us go over unto the other side of the lake; of Gennesaret, or sea of Galilee:
and they launched forth; into the sea; they set sail, and proceeded: this clause is omitted in the Syriac and Persic versions.
