“Truly I tell you, people will be forgiven for all sins and whatever blasphemies
Uerely I say vnto you, All sinnes shalbe forgiuen vnto the sonnes of men, and blasphemies, wherewith soeuer they shall blaspheme:
Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
"Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter,
"Truly I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons and daughters of men, and whatever blasphemies they commit;
I tell you the truth, all sins that people do and all the things people say against God can be forgiven.
"I assure you and most solemnly say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and all the abusive and blasphemous things they say;
"Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter;
"Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter;
Truly I tell you, the sons of men will be forgiven all sins and blasphemies, as many as they utter.
Yes! I tell you that people will be forgiven all sins and whatever blasphemies they utter;
Verily I say unto you, that all sins shall be forgiven to the sons of men, and all the injurious speeches [with] which they may speak injuriously;
"I want you to know that people can be forgiven for all the sinful things they do. They can even be forgiven for the bad things they say against God.

I declare unto you, all the sins which men may commit, and whatsoever blasphemies they may utter, may be forgiven them.
"Listen to this carefully. I'm warning you. There's nothing done or said that can't be forgiven. But if you persist in your slanders against God's Holy Spirit, you are repudiating the very One who forgives, sawing off the branch on which you're sitting, severing by your own perversity all connection with the One who forgives." He gave this warning because they were accusing him of being in league with Evil.

Verily I say unto you,.... The Scribes and Pharisees, who had not only blasphemed him, but the Spirit of God also:
all sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme; God; or the Son of God, angels, and men, and that through the blood of Christ, and when brought to a sense of the evil of them; for though pardon is procured before, it is not applied till then; :-.

And the scribes ... - See the notes at Matthew 12:24-32. The occasion of their saying this was, that he had healed a man possessed with a devil. The scribes, who came from Jerusalem to watch his conduct, charged him with having made a compact or agreement with the prince of the devils.
