Unjust Judgments Rebuked.

¹ God ^(C1)stands in the divine assembly;
He ^(C2)judges among the ^(C3)gods (divine beings).

² How long will you ^(C1)judge unjustly
And ^(C2)show partiality to the wicked? Selah.

^3 (C1)Vindicate the weak and fatherless;
Do justice and maintain the rights of the afflicted and destitute.

^4 (C1)Rescue the weak and needy;
Rescue them from the hand of the wicked.

⁵ The rulers ^(C1)do not know nor do they understand;
They ^(C2)walk on in the darkness of complacent satisfaction;
All the ^(C3)foundations of the earth the fundamental principles of the administration of justice are shaken.

⁶ I ^(C1)said, "You are ^(F1)gods;
Indeed, all of you are ^(C2)sons of the Most High. ^(VR1)

⁷ "Nevertheless ^(C1)you will die like men
And fall like any ^(C2)one of the princes."

^8 (C1)Arise, O God, ^(C2)judge the earth!
For to You ^(C3)belong all the nations. ^(VR1)
