Psalms 24

   |

The King of Glory Entering Zion.

(FA)A Psalm of David.

1 The (C1)earth (F1)is the LORD'S, and the fullness of it,
The (C2)world, and those who dwell in it. (VR1)

2 For He has (C1)founded it upon the seas
And established it upon the streams and the rivers.

3 Who may (C1)ascend onto the (F1)(C2)mountain of the LORD?
And who may stand in His holy (C3)place?

4 He who has (C1)clean hands and a (C2)pure heart,
Who has not (C3)lifted up his soul to what is false,
Nor has (C4)sworn oaths deceitfully. (VR1)

5 He shall receive a (C1)blessing from the LORD,
And (C2)righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 This is the generation (description) of those who diligently (C1)seek Him and require Him as their greatest need,
Who seek Your face, even as did Jacob. (VR1) Selah.

7 (C1)Lift up your heads, O gates,
And be lifted up, ancient doors,
That the King of (C2)glory may come in.

8 Who is the King of glory?
The LORD (C1)strong and mighty,
The LORD (C2)mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O gates,
And lift them up, ancient doors,
That the King of (C1)glory may come in.

10 Who is He then this King of glory?
The LORD of (C1)hosts,
He is the King of glory who rules over all creation with His heavenly armies. Selah.
