Childlike Trust in the LORD.

¹ LORD, my heart is not ^(C1)proud, nor my eyes ^(C2)haughty;
Nor do I involve myself in ^(C3)great matters,
Or in things ^(C4)too difficult for me.

² Surely I have ^(C1)calmed and quieted my soul;
Like a weaned child resting with his mother,
My soul is like a weaned ^(C2)child within me composed and freed from discontent.

³ O Israel, ^(C1)hope in the LORD
^(C2)From this time forth and forever.
