Elijah in the Whirlwind
1 The time had come for the Lord to take Elijah up to heaven(C1) in a whirlwind.(C2) Elijah and Elisha(C3) were traveling from Gilgal,(C4)
1 It happened, when the LORD would take up Eliyah by a whirlwind into heaven, that Eliyah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
1 And it came to pass, when the Lord would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
Elijah Taken to Heaven
1 Now when the Lord was about to (a)take Elijah up to heaven by a whirlwind, Elijah and (b)Elisha were on their way from (c)Gilgal.
Elijah Is Taken to Heaven
1 It was almost time for the Lord to take Elijah by a whirlwind up into heaven. While Elijah and Elisha were leaving Gilgal,
Elijah Makes a Swift Departure
1 Just before the Lord took Elijah up to heaven in a windstorm, Elijah and Elisha were traveling from Gilgal.

1 When the LORD was about to (C1)take Elijah up to heaven by a whirlwind, Elijah and (C2)Elisha were traveling from (C3)Gilgal.
Elijah Taken to Heaven
1 Now it came about, when the LORD was about to (C1)bring Elijah up by a (F1)whirlwind to heaven, that Elijah left (C2)Gilgal with (C3)Elisha.
1 And when the Lord would take vp Eliiah into heauen by a whirle winde, Eliiah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

1 Now it happened when Yahweh was about to (C1)take up Elijah by a (F1)whirlwind to heaven, that Elijah went with (C2)Elisha from (C3)Gilgal.
The Lord Takes Elijah Away
1 Not long before the Lord took Elijah up into heaven in a strong wind, Elijah and Elisha were leaving Gilgal.
1 The time came for Adonai to take Eliyahu up into heaven in a whirlwind. Eliyahu and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal,
1 And it came to pass when Jehovah would take up Elijah into the heavens by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
The Lord Makes Plans to Take Elijah
1 It was near the time for the Lord to take Elijah by a whirlwind up into heaven. Elijah and Elisha started to leave Gilgal.
1 AND it came to pass, when the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven by a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha had departed from Gilgal.
Elijah Is Taken Up to Heaven
1 The time came for the Lord to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind. Elijah and Elisha set out from Gilgal,
Elijah Taken Away from Elisha
1 When Yahweh was about to take Elijah up in the storm to heaven, Elijah and Elisha went from Gilgal.
1 And it happened, when Jehovah was to cause Elijah to go up to Heaven in a tempest, Elijah and Elisha went from Gilgal.
1 Whan the LORDE was mynded to take vp Elias in the tempest, Elias and Eliseus wente from Gilgall.
1 And it came to pass, when Jehovah would take up Elijah by a whirlwind into heaven, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
1 Now when the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a great wind, Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
1 And it chaunced, that whe the Lord would take vp Elias into heauen by a whorle wind, Elias went with Elisa from Gilgal.
1 And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah by a whirlwind into heaven, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
1 And it came to passe when the Lord would take vp Elijah into heauen by a whirlewinde, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
1 And it came to pass, when the Lord was going to take Eliu with a whirlwind as it were into heaven, that Eliu and Elisaie went out of Galgala.
1 And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah by a whirlwind into heaven, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

1 Shortly before the LORD took Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal,
1 Forsothe it was don, whanne the Lord wolde reise Elie bi a whirlewynd in to heuene, Elie and Elisee yeden fro Galgalis.
1 And it cometh to pass, at Jehovah's taking up Elijah in a whirlwind to the heavens, that Elijah goeth, and Elisha, from Gilgal,
1 And it came to pass, when Yahweh was to take up Elijah by a whirlwind into heaven, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

Elijah Is Taken Up to Heaven
1 When the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven by a wind-storm, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal.
Elijah Ascends to Heaven
1 Now when the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven by a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal.
1 And it came to pass, when Yahweh was about to take up Elijah in a storm into the heavens, that Elijah departed, with Elisha, from Gilgal.
1 And it came to pass, when the Lord would take up Elias, into heaven, by a whirlwind, that Elias and Eliseus were going from Galgal.
1 Now when the LORD was about to take Eli'jah up to heaven by a whirlwind, Eli'jah and Eli'sha were on their way from Gilgal.
1 And it comes to pass, at YHWH's taking up Elijah to the heavens in a whirlwind, that Elijah goes, and Elisha, from Gilgal,1-2 Just before God took Elijah to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on a walk out of Gilgal. Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here. God has sent me on an errand to Bethel."
Elisha said, "Not on your life! I'm not letting you out of my sight!" So they both went to Bethel.
Elijah Taken to Heaven
1 And it came about when the LORD was about to (C1)take up Elijah by a (F1)whirlwind to heaven, that Elijah went with (C2)Elisha from (C3)Gilgal.2 and Elijah said to Elisha,(C1) “Stay here;(C2) the Lord is sending me on to Bethel.”(C3)
2 Eliyah said to Elisha, Please wait here, for the LORD has sent me as far as Beit-El. Elisha said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they went down to Beit-El.2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel. 2 And Elijah said to Elisha, (d)"Please stay here, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel." But Elisha said, (e)"As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel. 2 Elijah said to Elisha, "Please stay here. The Lord has told me to go to Bethel."
But Elisha said, "As the Lord lives, and as you live, I won't leave you." So they went down to Bethel. 2 Elijah told Elisha, "Stay here, for the Lord has sent me to Bethel." But Elisha said, "As certainly as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel. 2 And Elijah said to Elisha, "(C1)Please stay here, for the LORD has sent me to (C2)Bethel." But Elisha replied, "(C3)As the LORD lives and as your soul lives, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel.2 And Elijah said to Elisha, "(C1)Stay here please, for the LORD has sent me as far as (C2)Bethel." But Elisha said, "(C3)As surely as the LORD lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel.2 Then Eliiah saide to Elisha, Tarie here, I pray thee: for the Lorde hath sent me to Bethel. But Elisha said, As the Lord liueth, and as thy soule liueth, I will not leaue thee. So they came downe to Beth-el.2 And Elijah said to Elisha, "(C1)Stay here please, for Yahweh has sent me as far as (C2)Bethel." But Elisha said, "(C3)As Yahweh lives and as your soul lives, I will not forsake you." So they went down to Bethel. 2 Elijah said to Elisha, "The Lord wants me to go to Bethel, but you must stay here."
Elisha replied, "I swear by the living Lord and by your own life that I will stay with you no matter what!" And he went with Elijah to Bethel. 2 when Eliyahu said to Elisha, "Please wait here, because Adonai has sent me all the way to Beit-El." But Elisha said, "As Adonai lives, and as you live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Beit-El.
2 And Elijah said to Elisha, Abide here, I pray thee; for Jehovah has sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee! So they went down to Bethel.
2 Elijah said to Elisha, "Please stay here, because the Lord told me to go to Bethel."
But Elisha said, "I promise, as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So the two men went down to Bethel.2 And Elijah said to Elisha, Wait for me here, for the LORD has sent me to Beth-el. And Elisha said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they went down to Beth-el. 2 and on the way Elijah said to Elisha, "Now stay here; the Lord has ordered me to go to Bethel."
But Elisha answered, "I swear by my loyalty to the living Lord and to you that I will not leave you." So they went on to Bethel. 2 Elijah said to Elisha, "Please stay here, for Yahweh has sent me up to Bethel." Elisha said, "As Yahweh lives[a] and as your soul lives,[b] I will certainly not leave you!" So they went down to Bethel. 2 And Elijah said to Elisha, Please stay here, for Jehovah has sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said, As Jehovah lives, and your soul lives, I will not leave you. And they went down to Bethel.2 And Elias sayde to Eliseus: Tary thou here I praye the, for the LORDE hath sent me vnto Bethel. But Eliseus sayde: As truly as the LORDE liueth, and as truly as thy soule lyueth, I wyll not forsake the. And whan they came downe vnto Bethel, 2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for Jehovah hath sent me as far as Beth-el. And Elisha said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el. 2 And Elijah said to Elisha, Come no farther for the Lord has sent me to Beth-el. But Elisha said, As the Lord is living and as your soul is living, I will not be parted from you. So they went down to Beth-el.2 And Elias saide vnto Elisa: Tary here I praye thee, for the Lorde hath sent me to Bethel. Elisa saide vnto him: As the Lorde lyueth, and as thy soule liueth, I will not leaue thee. And they came downe to Bethel,2 And Elijah said unto Elisha: 'Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me as far as Beth-el.' And Elisha said: 'As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee.' So they went down to Beth-el.--2 And Elijah said vnto Elisha, Tarie here, I pray thee: for the Lord hath sent me to Bethel: and Elisha said vnto him, As the Lord liueth, and as thy soule liueth, I wil not leaue thee. So they went downe to Bethel. 2 And Eliu said to Elisaie, Stay here, I pray thee; for God has sent me to Baethel. And Elisaie said, As the Lord lives and thy soul lives, I will not leave thee; so they came to Baethel. 2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me as far as Beth–el. And Elisha said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth–el. 2 and Elijah said to Elisha, “Please stay here, for the LORD has sent me on to Bethel.” But Elisha replied, “As surely as the LORD lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.2 And Elie seide to Elisee, Sitte thou here, for the Lord sente me til into Bethel. To whom Elisee seide, The Lord lyueth and thi soule lyueth, for Y schal not forsake thee. And whanne thei hadden come doun to Bethel,2 and Elijah saith unto Elisha, `Abide, I pray thee, here, for Jehovah hath sent me unto Beth-El;' and Elisha saith, `Jehovah liveth, and thy soul liveth, if I leave thee;' and they go down to Beth-El.2 And Elijah said to Elisha, Tarry here, I pray you; for Yahweh has sent me as far as Beth-el. And Elisha said, As Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they went down to Beth-el.2 And Elijah said to Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Beth-el. And Elisha said, [As] the LORD liveth, and [as] thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el.2 Elijah said to Elisha, Please wait here, for Yahweh has sent me as far as Bethel. Elisha said, As Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they went down to Bethel. 2 Then Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here, please, for the LORD has sent me on to Bethel." But Elisha said, "As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!" So they went down to Bethel. 2 And Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here, for the Lord has told me to go to Bethel."
But Elisha replied, "As surely as the Lord lives and you yourself live, I will never leave you!" So they went down together to Bethel. 2 Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here, I ask you. For the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel." But Elisha said, "As the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel. 2 Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here; for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel." But Elisha said, "As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel. 2 Then said Elijah unto Elisha - Tarry here, I pray thee, for, Yahweh, hath sent me as far as Bethel. And Elisha said, By the life of Yahweh and by the life of thine own soul, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.2 And Elias said to Eliseus: Stay thou here, because the Lord hath sent me as far as Bethel. And Eliseus said to him: As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And when they were come down to Bethel,2 And Eli'jah said to Eli'sha, "Tarry here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me as far as Bethel." But Eli'sha said, "As the LORD lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel.2 and Elijah says to Elisha, "Please abide here, for YHWH has sent me to Beth-El"; and Elisha says, "YHWH lives, and your soul lives, if I leave you"; and they go down to Beth-El.2 Elijah said to Elisha, "(C1)Stay here please, for the LORD has sent me as far as (C2)Bethel." But Elisha said, "(C3)As the LORD lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel.
But Elisha replied, “As the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.”(C4) So they went down to Bethel.
3 Then the sons of the prophets(C1) who were at Bethel came out to Elisha and said, “Do you know that the Lord will take your master away from you today?” (C2)
3 The sons of the prophets who were at Beit-El came forth to Elisha, and said to him, "Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from your head today?" He said, "Yes, I know it; hold your shalom."3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. 3 And (f)the sons of the prophets who were in Bethel came out to Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that today the Lord will take away your master from over you?" And he said, "Yes, I know it; keep quiet." 3 The groups of prophets at Bethel came out to Elisha and said to him, "Do you know the Lord will take your master away from you today?"
Elisha said, "Yes, I know, but don't talk about it." 3 Some members of the prophetic guild in Bethel came out to Elisha and said, "Do you know that today the Lord is going to take your master from you?" He answered, "Yes, I know. Be quiet."3 Now the (F1)(C1)sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that the LORD will take your master away from you today?" He said, "Yes, I know it; be quiet about it."
3 Then (C1)the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel went out to Elisha and said to him, "Are you aware that the LORD will take away your master from over (F1)you today?" And he said, "Yes, I am aware; say nothing about it."3 And the children of the Prophets that were at Beth-el, came out to Elisha, and said vnto him, Knowest thou that the Lorde will take thy master from thine head this day? And he said, Yea, I knowe it: holde ye your peace.3 Then (C1)the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that Yahweh will take away your master from over (F1)you today?" And he said, "Yes, I know; be silent."3 A group of prophets who lived there asked Elisha, "Do you know that today the Lord is going to take away your master?"
"Yes, I do," Elisha answered. "But don't remind me of it." 3 The guild prophets of Beit-El came out to Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that Adonai is taking your master away from you today?" "Yes, I know," he answered; "say no more."
3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said to him, Dost thou know that Jehovah will take away thy master from over thy head to-day? And he said, I also know it: be silent!
3 The group of prophets[a] at Bethel came to Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that the Lord will take your master away from you today?"
Elisha said, "Yes, I know. Don't talk about it."3 And the sons of the prophets who were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha and said to him, Do you know that today the LORD will take away your master from over you? And he said, Yes, I also know it: hold your peace.
3 A group of prophets who lived there went to Elisha and asked him, "Do you know that the Lord is going to take your master away from you today?"
"Yes, I know," Elisha answered. "But let's not talk about it." 3 Then the sons of the prophets who were in Bethel came out to Elisha, and they said to him, "Do you know that Yahweh is going to take your master from you[c] today?" He said, "I also know; be quiet!"3 And the sons of the prophets in Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, Do you know that today Jehovah will take your lord from your head? And he said, Yes, I know. Keep silent.3 the prophetes children that were at Bethel, wete forth to Eliseus, and sayde vnto him: Knowest thou not, that the LORDE wyl take thy lorde awaye from thy heade this daye? He saide: I knowe it well, holde ye youre peace. 3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that Jehovah will take away thy master from thy head to-day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. 3 And at Beth-el the sons of the prophets came out to Elisha and said, Has it been made clear to you that the Lord is going to take away your master from over you today? And he said, Yes, I have knowledge of it: say no more.3 And the children of the prophetes that were at Bethel came out to Elisa, and saide vnto him: knowest thou not how that the Lord wyll take away thy maister from thy head this day? He saide: I knowe it also, holde you your peace.3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him: 'Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to-day?' And he said: 'Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.'--3 And the sonnes of the Prophets that were at Bethel, came foorth to Elisha, and said vnto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it, hold you your peace. 3 And the sons of the prophets who were in Baethel came to Elisaie, and said to him, Dost thou know, that the Lord this day is going to take thy lord away from thy head? And he said, Yea, I know it; be silent. 3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth–el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head today? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. 3 Then the sons of the prophets at Bethel came out to Elisha and said, “Do you know that the LORD will take your master away from you today?” “Yes, I know,” he replied. “Do not speak of it.”3 the sones of prophetis, that weren in Bethel, yeden out to Elisee, and seiden to hym, Whether thou knowist, that the Lord schal take awey thi lord to dai fro thee? Which answeride, And I knowe; be ye stille.3 And sons of the prophets who [are] in Beth-El come out unto Elisha, and say unto him, `Hast thou known that to-day Jehovah is taking thy lord from thy head?' and he saith, `I also have known -- keep silent.'3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said to him, Do you know that Yahweh will take away your master from your head today? And he said, Yes, I know it; hold your peace.3 And the sons of the prophets that [were] at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said to him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to-day? And he said, Yes, I know [it]; hold ye your peace.3 The sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said to him, "Do you know that Yahweh will take away your master from your head today?" He said, "Yes, I know it; hold your peace." 3 Now the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, "Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over you today?" And he said, "Yes, I know; keep silent!"
3 The group of prophets from Bethel came to Elisha and asked him, "Did you know that the Lord is going to take your master away from you today?"
"Of course I know," Elisha answered. "But be quiet about it." 3 Then the sons of the men who spoke for God at Bethel came out to Elisha. They said to him, "Do you know that the Lord will take Elijah from you today?" And he said, "Yes, I know. Say no more." 3 The company of prophets[a] who were in Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, "Do you know that today the Lord will take your master away from you?" And he said, "Yes, I know; keep silent."3 And the sons of the prophets who were in Bethel came forth unto Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that, to-day, Yahweh is taking away thy lord, from thy head? And he said - I also, know, be silent.3 The sons of the prophets, that were at Bethel, came forth to Eliseus, and said to him: Dost thou know that, this day, the Lord will take away thy master from thee? And he answered: I also know it: hold your peace.3 And the sons of the prophets who were in Bethel came out to Eli'sha, and said to him, "Do you know that today the LORD will take away your master from over you?" And he said, "Yes, I know it; hold your peace."3 And sons of the prophets who [are] in Beth-El come out to Elisha, and say to him, "Have you known that today YHWH is taking your lord from your head?" And he says, "I also have known—keep silent."
3 The guild of prophets at Bethel met Elisha and said, "Did you know that God is going to take your master away from you today?"
"Yes," he said, "I know it. But keep it quiet."3 Then (C1)the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over (F1)you today?" And he said, "Yes, I know; be still."
He said, “Yes, I know. Be quiet.”
4 Elijah said to him, “Elisha, stay here; the Lord is sending me to Jericho.”(C1)
4 Eliyah said to him, Elisha, please wait here, for the LORD has sent me to Yericho. He said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they came to Yericho.4 And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.
4 Elijah said to him, "Elisha, (g)please stay here, for the Lord has sent me to (h)Jericho." But he said, (i)"As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So they came to Jericho.
4 Elijah said to him, "Stay here, Elisha, because the Lord has sent me to Jericho."
But Elisha said, "As the Lord lives, and as you live, I won't leave you."
So they went to Jericho.
4 Elijah said to him, "Elisha, stay here, for the Lord has sent me to Jericho." But he replied, "As certainly as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So they went to Jericho.
4 Elijah said to him, "Elisha, (C1)please stay here, for the LORD has sent me to (C2)Jericho." But he said, "(C1)As the LORD lives and as your soul lives, I will not leave you." So they came to Jericho.
4 And Elijah said to him, "Elisha, please (C1)stay here, for the LORD has sent me to (C2)Jericho." But he said, "(C1)As surely as the LORD lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So they came to Jericho.4 Againe Eliiah saide vnto him, Elisha, tarie here, I pray thee: for the Lorde hath sent me to Iericho: But he said, As the Lorde liueth, and as thy soule liueth, I will not leaue thee. So they came to Iericho.
4 And Elijah said to him, "Elisha, please (C1)stay here, for Yahweh has sent me to (C2)Jericho." But he said, "(C1)As Yahweh lives and as your soul lives, I will not forsake you." So they came to Jericho.
4 Elijah then said, "Elisha, now the Lord wants me to go to Jericho, but you must stay here."
Elisha replied, "I swear by the living Lord and by your own life, that I will stay with you no matter what!" And he went with Elijah to Jericho.
4 Eliyahu said to him, "Elisha, please wait here, because Adonai has sent me to Yericho." He replied, "As Adonai lives, and as you live, I will not leave you." So they came to Yericho.
4 And Elijah said to him, Elisha, abide here, I pray thee; for Jehovah has sent me to Jericho. And he said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee! And they came to Jericho.
4 Elijah said to Elisha, "Please stay here, because the Lord told me to go to Jericho."
But Elisha said, "I promise, as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you!" So the two men went to Jericho.4 And Elijah said to Elisha, Wait for me here; for the LORD has sent me to Jericho. And he said. As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they came to Jericho.
4 Then Elijah said to Elisha, "Now stay here; the Lord has ordered me to go to Jericho."
But Elisha answered, "I swear by my loyalty to the living Lord and to you that I will not leave you." So they went on to Jericho.
4 Elijah said to him, "Elisha, please stay here because Yahweh has sent me to Jericho." And he said, "As Yahweh lives[d] and as your soul lives,[e] I will certainly not leave you!" So they came to Jericho. 4 And Elijah said to him, Elisha, please stay here, for Jehovah has sent me to Jericho. And he said, As Jehovah lives, and your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they came to Jericho.4 And Elijah says to him, "Elisha, please abide here, for YHWH has sent me to Jericho"; and he says, "YHWH lives, and your soul lives, if I leave you"; and they come to Jericho.
4 Then Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here. God has sent me on an errand to Jericho."
Elisha said, "Not on your life! I'm not letting you out of my sight!" So they both went to Jericho.

But Elisha said, “As the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went to Jericho.
5 Then the sons of the prophets who were in Jericho came up to Elisha and said, “Do you know that the Lord will take your master away from you today?”
5 The sons of the prophets who were at Yericho came near to Elisha, and said to him, "Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from your head today?" He answered, "Yes, I know it. Hold your shalom."5 And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. 5 (j)The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho drew near to Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that today the Lord will take away your master from over you?" And he answered, "Yes, I know it; keep quiet." 5 The groups of prophets at Jericho came to Elisha and said, "Do you know that the Lord will take your master away from you today?"
Elisha answered, "Yes, I know, but don't talk about it." 5 Some members of the prophetic guild in Jericho approached Elisha and said, "Do you know that today the Lord is going to take your master from you?" He answered, "Yes, I know. Be quiet."5 (C1)The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho approached Elisha and said to him, "(C2)Do you know that the LORD will take your master away from you today?" And he answered, "Yes, I know it; be quiet about it."5 Then (C1)the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho approached Elisha and said to him, "(C2)Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over (F1)you today?" And he (F2)answered, "Yes, I know; say nothing about it."5 And the children of the Prophets that were at Iericho, came to Elisha, and saide vnto him, Knowest thou, that the Lorde will take thy master from thine head this day? And he sayde, Yea, I knowe it: holde ye your peace.5 (C1)Then the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho approached Elisha and said to him, "(C2)Do you know that Yahweh will take away your master from over (F1)you today?" And he (F2)answered, "Yes, I know; be silent."
5 A group of prophets who lived there asked Elisha, "Do you know that today the Lord is going to take away your master?"
"Yes, I do," Elisha answered. "But don't remind me of it." 5 The guild prophets of Yericho approached Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that Adonai is taking your master away from you today?" "Yes, I know," he answered; "say no more."
5 And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho drew near to Elisha and said to him, Dost thou know that Jehovah will take away thy master from over thy head to-day? And he said, I also know it: be silent!
5 The group of prophets at Jericho came to Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that the Lord will take your master away from you today?"
Elisha answered, "Yes, I know. Don't talk about it."5 And the sons of the prophets who were in Jericho drew near to Elisha and said to him, Do you know that today the LORD will take away your master from over you? And he answered, Yes, I also know it; hold your peace.
5 A group of prophets who lived there went to Elisha and asked him, "Do you know that the Lord is going to take your master away from you today?"
"Yes, I know," Elisha answered. "But let's not talk about it." 5 Then the sons of the prophets who were in Jericho came near to Elisha, and they said to him, "Do you know that Yahweh is going to take your master from you[f] today?" He said, "I also know; be quiet!"5 And the sons of the prophets in Jericho came near to Elisha, and said to him, Do you know that today Jehovah will take away your lord from your head? And he said, Yes, I know. Keep silent.5 the prophetes children which were at Iericho, stepte forth to Eliseus and sayde vnto him: Knowest thou not that the LORDE wyll take yi lorde awaye from thy heade this daie? He sayde: I knowe it well, holde ye yor peace. 5 And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came near to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that Jehovah will take away thy master from thy head to-day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. 5 And at Jericho the sons of the prophets came up to Elisha and said to him, Has it been made clear to you that the Lord is going to take away your master from over you today? And he said in answer, Yes, I have knowledge of it: say no more.5 And the children of the prophetes that were at Iericho came to Elisa, and said vnto him: Knowest thou not, that the Lorde wil take away thy maister from thy head this day? He aunswered: I know it also, holde ye your peace.5 And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came near to Elisha, and said unto him: 'Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to-day?' And he answered: 'Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.'--5 And the sonnes of the Prophets that were at Iericho came to Elisha, and said vnto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And hee answered, Yea, I knowe it, holde you your peace. 5 And the sons of the prophets who were in Jericho drew near to Elisaie, and said to him, Dost thou know that the Lord is about to take away thy master to-day from thy head? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold your peace. 5 And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came near to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head today? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. 5 Then the sons of the prophets at Jericho came up to Elisha and said, “Do you know that the LORD will take your master away from you today?” “Yes, I know,” he replied. “Do not speak of it.”5 the sones of prophetis, that weren in Jerico, neiyiden to Elisee, and seiden to hym, Whether thou knowist, that the Lord schal take awei thi lord to dai fro thee? And he answered, Yes, I know it; hold your peace.5 And the sons of the prophets that [were] at Jericho came to Elisha, and said to him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to-day? And he answered, Yes, I know [it]; hold ye your peace.5 The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came near to Elisha, and said to him, "Do you know that Yahweh will take away your master from your head today?" He answered, "Yes, I know it. Hold your peace." 5 Now the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came to Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over you today?" So he answered, "Yes, I know; keep silent!"
5 Then the group of prophets from Jericho came to Elisha and asked him, "Did you know that the Lord is going to take your master away from you today?"
"Of course I know," Elisha answered. "But be quiet about it." 5 The sons of the men who spoke for God at Jericho came to Elisha. They said to him, "Do you know that the Lord will take Elijah from you today?" And he answered, "Yes, I know. Say no more." 5 The company of prophets[b] who were at Jericho drew near to Elisha, and said to him, "Do you know that today the Lord will take your master away from you?" And he answered, "Yes, I know; be silent."5 Then drew near the sons of the prophets who were in Jericho, unto Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that, to-day, Yahweh is taking away thy lord from thy head? And he said - I also, know; be silent.5 The sons of the prophets, that were at Jericho, came to Eliseus, and said to him: Dost thou know that, this day, the Lord will take away thy master from thee? And he said: I also know it: hold your peace.5 The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho drew near to Eli'sha, and said to him, "Do you know that today the LORD will take away your master from over you?" And he answered, "Yes, I know it; hold your peace."5 And sons of the prophets who [are] in Jericho come near to Elisha, and say to him, "Have you known that today YHWH is taking your lord from your head?" And he says, "I also have known—keep silent."
5 The guild of prophets at Jericho came to Elisha and said, "Did you know that God is going to take your master away from you today?"
"Yes," he said, "I know it. But keep it quiet."5 (C1)The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho approached Elisha and said to him, "(C2)Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over (F1)you today?" And he (F2)answered, "Yes, I know; be still."
He said, “Yes, I know. Be quiet.”
6 Elijah said to him, “Stay here; the Lord is sending me to the Jordan.”(C1)
6 Eliyah said to him, "Please wait here, for the LORD has sent me to the Yarden." He said, "As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you." They two went on.6 And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the Lord hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.
6 Then Elijah said to him, (k)"Please stay here, for the Lord has sent me to the Jordan." But he said, "As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So the two of them went on.
6 Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here. The Lord has sent me to the Jordan River."
Elisha answered, "As the Lord lives, and as you live, I won't leave you."
So the two of them went on.
6 Elijah said to him, "Stay here, for the Lord has sent me to the Jordan." But he replied, "As certainly as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So they traveled on together. 6 Elijah said to him, "(C1)Please stay here, for the LORD has sent me to (C2)the Jordan." But he said, "As the LORD lives and as your soul lives, I will not leave you." So the two of them went on.
6 And Elijah said to him, "Please (C1)stay here, for the LORD has sent me to (C2)the Jordan." But he said, "As surely as the LORD lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So the two of them went on.6 Moreouer Eliiah saide vnto him, Tarie, I pray thee, here: for the Lorde hath sent me to Iorden. But he saide, As the Lorde liueth, and as thy soule liueth, I will not leaue thee. So they went both together.6 Then Elijah said to him, "Please (C1)stay here, for Yahweh has sent me to (C2)the Jordan." And he said, "As Yahweh lives and as your soul lives, I will not forsake you." So the two of them went on.6 Elijah then said to Elisha, "Now the Lord wants me to go to the Jordan River, but you must stay here."
Elisha replied, "I swear by the living Lord and by your own life that I will never leave you!" So the two of them walked on together.

And they two went on together.6 Then Eli'jah said to him, "Tarry here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to the Jordan." But he said, "As the LORD lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So the two of them went on.6 And Elijah says to him, "Please abide here, for YHWH has sent me to the Jordan"; and he says, "YHWH lives, and your soul lives, if I leave you"; and both of them go on—
