Therefore thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘Behold, I am going to punish the king of Babylon and his land, just as I punished the king of Assyria.

Therefore her young men will fall in her open squares,And all her men of war will be silenced in that day," declares Yahweh.

"Therefore the desert creatures will live there along with the jackals;The ostriches also will live in it,And it will never again be lived inOr dwelt in from generation to generation.

Therefore hear the counsel of Yahweh which He has counseled against Babylon, and His purposes which He has purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: surely they will drag them off, even the little ones of the flock; surely He will make their pasture desolate because of them.

Babylon has been a golden cup in the hand of Yahweh,Intoxicating all the earth.The nations have drunk of her wine;Therefore the nations are going mad.

Therefore thus says Yahweh,"Behold, I am going to plead your caseAnd exact full vengeance for you;And I will dry up her seaAnd make her fountain dry.

Therefore behold, days are comingWhen I will punish the graven images of Babylon;And her whole land will be put to shame,And all her slain will fall in her midst.

"Therefore behold, the days are coming," declares Yahweh,"When I will punish her graven images,And the mortally wounded will groan throughout her land.

Jerusalem sinned greatly;Therefore she has become an impure thing.All who honored her despise herBecause they have seen her nakedness;Even she herself sighs and turns away.

This I will return to my heart;Therefore I will wait in hope.

"Yahweh is my portion," says my soul,"Therefore I wait for Him."

Therefore, thus says Lord Yahweh, ‘Because you have more turmoil than the nations which are all around you and have not walked in My statutes, nor done My judgments, nor done the judgments of the nations which are all around you,'

therefore, thus says Lord Yahweh, ‘Behold, I, even I, am against you, and I will execute judgments among you in the sight of the nations.

Therefore, fathers will eat their sons among you, and sons will eat their fathers; for I will execute judgments on you and scatter all your remnant to every wind.

So as I live,' declares Lord Yahweh, ‘surely, because you have defiled My sanctuary with all your detestable idols and with all your abominations, therefore I will also withdraw, and My eye will have no pity, and I will not spare.

They transformed the beauty of His ornaments into pride, and they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things with it; therefore I will make it an impure thing to them.

Therefore, I will bring the most evil of the nations, and they will possess their houses. I will also make the pride of the strong ones cease, and their holy places will be profaned.

Therefore, I also will do this in wrath: My eye will have no pity, nor will I spare; and they will cry in My ears with a loud voice, yet I will not listen to them."

Therefore, prophesy against them, son of man, prophesy!"

Therefore, thus says Lord Yahweh, "Your slain whom you have laid in the midst of the city are the flesh, and this city is the pot; but I will bring you out of it.
