תַּנִּים sing. Ezekiel 29:3, a great serpent, a sea monster, i.q. הַּנִּין (which is the reading of many copies), from which this reading has been corrupted, either by the writer, or by copyists who were familiar with the plur. תַּנִּים, but in this neglected the etymology.
