(b) destruction, Isaiah 24:10, קִרְיַת תֹּהוּ “a desolated city;” 34:11.
(2) emptiness, vanity, and concr. something vain (syn. הֶבֶל), Isaiah 41:29, 44:9 49:4 59:4 1 Samuel 12:21 nothing, i.q. אַיִן Isaiah 40:17, 23 Isaiah 40:23.
