יִשָּׂשׂכָר see above
שָׂכִיר m. a hireling, Exodus 22:14; Leviticus 19:13. Isaiah 16:14, “in three years כִּשְׁנֵי שָׂכִיר according to the years of a hireling;” i.e. this shall come to pass at this very time, the event shall no longer be deferred, just as a hireling does not protract his daily work beyond the agreed hour.
