 רָגַן verb murmur, whisper (Late Hebrew id.; ᵑ7 Ithpe`el bickbite, slander); —

1 murmur (rebelliously): —

Qal Participle plural רוֺגְנִים Isaiah 29:24 murmurers;

Niph`al Imperfect 3 masculine plural וַיֵּרָֽגְנוּ Psalm 106:25 and they murmured in their tents, Song of Solomon 2masculine plural וַתֵּרָֽגְנוּ Deuteronomy 1:27.

2 whisper (maliciously), backlite, slander:,

רָגַן to murmur, to repine; hence to be contumacious, Isaiah 29:24. (This root is not found in the cognate languages. The verbs רָעַם, רָהַם, are cognate; see under רָגַז.)
