לישׁ (√ of following, Thes לושׁ; perhaps = be strong (Thes) compare Arabic , , strength; (medial י) III. see be strong, etc., apparently denominative = be lion-like).

(1)  a mocking song, Habakkuk 2:6, see the root Kal No. 2.

(2) prop. an interpretation; hence what needs an interpretation, an enigma, an obscure saying, Proverbs 1:6.
