חֹלֶד m. a mole [“weasel, so called from its swift gliding motion, or from its gliding into holes; comp. Syr. ܚܠܰܕ to insinuate oneself. So Vulg., Targ. Jon., and so Talmud חולדה.”], Leviticus 11:29.
