(1) a bottle, so called from the sound it makes when emptied (see בָּקַק ), 1 Kings 14:3; Jeremiah 19:1, 10 Jeremiah 19:10. (Syr. ܒܰܓܒܘܽܓܐܳ and Greek βόμβυλος, βομβύλη, also so called from the sound. Compare under the root בָּקַק, Maltese bakbŷka.)
