With 2 Peter 1:9 we may compare Vett. Val. p. 242.4 ἡ δὲ διάνοια. . . ἄλλοτε ἀλλαχοῦ πηδῶσα τὴν πρώτην λήθην ἀναλαμβάνει. The word survives in MGr.
