מַלְאָךְ m. (from the root לָאַךְ to depute which see).
(1) one sent, a messenger, whether from a private person, Job 1:14, or of a king, 1 Samuel 16:19, 19:11, 14 1 Samuel 19:14, 20 1 Samuel 19:20; 1 Kings 19:2, etc. (Syr. ܡܰܠܰܟܳܐ, Arab. مَلْأكُ id.)
(2) a messenger of God, i.e.
