Combined these pictures mean "the back and forth movement of pressure". Qal Perfect דָּֽשְׁאוּ Joel 2:22 (subject נְאוֺת מִדְבָּר).

Hiph`il Imperfect 3 feminine singular תַּדְשֵׁא (jussive) Genesis 1:11 cause to sprout or shoot forth תַּדְשֵׁא הָאָרֶץ דֶּשֶׁא. — דָּשָׁא Jeremiah 50:11 see below דּוּשׁ.

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

דָּשָׁא to sprout, to be green (of vegetation), Joel 2:22. (In Arabic this signification is found in the cognate root وَدَسَ, whence وَدَسُ sprouts of the earth), Joel 2:22.

Hiphil, to bring forth herbage, used of the earth, Genesis 1:11 comp. הוֹצִיא verse 14. Hence
