2. conjure, ἐ. σε κύριον τὸν θεόν LXX Genesis 24:3, cf. PMag.Lond. 121.269; ἐ. [τινὰ] τοῖς μεγάλοις ὀνόμασιν ib. 892; ἐ. σε κατὰ τοῦ θεοῦ Matthew 26:63; also τινὰ κατά τινος PMag.Par. 1.356.

ἐξορκίζω;
1. to exact an oath, to force to an oath (Demosthenes, Polybius, Apollod., Diodorus, Plutarch, others), for which the earlier Greeks used ἐξορκόω (cf. Winer's Grammar, 102 (97)).
2. to adjure: τινα κατά τίνος, one by a person (cf. κατά, I. 2 a.), followed by ἵνα (Buttmann, 237 (205)), Matthew 26:63; (Genesis 24:3).

(= Selections, p. 113) ἐξορκίζω σε δαῖμον. . . κατὰ τούτου τοῦ θεοῦ κτλ., P Lond 46.76 ff. (iv/A.D.) (= I. p. 67) ἐξορκίζω σε κατὰ τῶν ἁγίων ὀνομάτων. . . καὶ κατὰ τῶν φρικτῶν ὀνομάτων. . . παράδος τὸν κλέπτην κτλ.
