קָרַח prop. to make smooth (see קֶרַח ice); specially to make bald. קָרַח קָרְחָה to make a bald place, Leviticus 21:5; Micah 1:16. (Hence, with the letters softened, is formed the root גָּלַח which see.)
Niphal, to be made bald, followed by לְ on account of any one who is dead, Jeremiah 16:6.
Hiphil, i.q. Kal, Ezekiel 27:31.
Hophal, pass. מֻקְרָח made bald, Ezekiel 29:18.
The derivatives, קָרֵחַ-קָרַחַת immediately follow.
