Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

צָחֹר adj. white. Judges 5:10, “white asses,” i.e. reddish with white spots (for they are not found altogether white, although the Orientals highly esteem this colour in asses, camels, and elephants). Vulg. nitens. Syr. white. (Arabic صحُورُ prop. white, but used of an ass marked with white and red spots.)
