עַרְעָר, עַרְעֹר, עֲרֹעֵר, עֲרוֺעֵר see ערר.
I. ערף (√ of following; meaning dubious; Late Hebrew עוֺרֶף = Biblical Hebrew; Arabic mane of horse, also part of neck where hair grows, etc.).
עֲרִיסָה only in plur. וֹת Numbers 15:20, 21 Numbers 15:21; Nehemiah 10:38; Ezekiel 44:30 coarse meal, polenta (Gries, Grüße) comp. Talmud ערסן polenta made from barley, pearl barley. Syriac ܣܳܢܳܐ id. [see Thes.], also a drink made of it. Root עָרַס which see. LXX., Vulg., Num., φύραμα, pulmentum. Neh., Eze. σῖτος, cibus.
