עֲטָרָה constr. עֲטֶרֶת, plur. עֲטָרוֹת f.
(1) a crown.
(a) convivial, Isaiah 28:1 (b) royal, a diadem, 2 Samuel 12:30; Psalms 21:4; Song of Solomon 3:11; Ezekiel 21:31. Whatever is an ornament, or dignity, to any one, is figuratively designated a crown; Job 19:9, “he hath pulled down the crown from my head;” Proverbs 12:4, “a virtuous woman is a crown to her husband,” Proverbs 14:24, 16:31 17:6.
