 [נָשַׁב] verb blow (Late Hebrew = Biblical Hebrew; ᵑ7נְשַׁב (but also נְחַב), Syriac , all blow; "" form of נָשַׁף); —

Qal Perfect 3 feminine singular נָָֽשְׁבָה בּוֺ׳רוּחַ י Isaiah 40:7 the breath of ׳י has blown upon it.

Hiph`il Imperfect 3 masculine singular יַשֵּׁב רוּחַ Psalm 147:18 he causes his wind to blow; וַיַּשֵּׁב אֹתָם Genesis 15:11 and he drove them away (perhaps originally blow away, drive away by blowing, or by a sound like blowing).

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

נָשַׁב to blow, followed by בְּ to blow upon (as the wind), Isaiah 40:7. (An onomatop. verb, like the cogn. נָשַׁף, נָשַׁם and שָׁאַף, which see).

Hiphil

(1) to cause (the wind) to blow, Psalms 147:18.

(2) to drive away by blowing, Genesis 15:11.
