1) name by which the brazen serpent made by Moses in the wilderness was worshipped in the time of king Hezekiah of Judah before he destroyed it
נְחֻשְׁתָּן m. (from נְחשֶׁת and the formative syllable ־ָן), adj. the serpent of brass, made by Moses, broken up by Hezekiah, which the Israelites had made an object of worship, 2 Kings 18:4.
