נַאֲפוּפִים m. pl. id. Hosea 2:4, תָּסֵר … נַאֲפוּפֶיהָ מִבֵּין שָׁדֶיהָ “let her take her adulteries from between her breasts.” Here the sacred writer speaks of immodestly uncovered breasts as the seat of lust, immodesty, and meretricious solicitation; just as elsewhere the stilt neck is spoken of as the seat of pride, Psalms 73:6 and the neck of strength, Job 41:14.
