 מְתַלְּיוֺת noun feminine plural teeth (AV RV jaw-teeth) (perhaps gnawers, see √); — teeth, incisors, late (always "" שִׁנַּיִם): construct ׳מ Job 29:17 and (of lion) Joel 1:6; suffix מְתַלְּעֹתָיו Proverbs 30:14.

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

מַלְתָּעוֹת pl. f., Psalms 58:7, and with the letters transposed מְתַלְּעוֹת Job 29:17; Proverbs 30:14; Joel 1:6, prop. biting ones, biters, poet. used for teeth, from the root לָתַע to bite; comp. መልታሕት፡ a jaw, pr. that with which any thing is bitten. It cannot be laid down that this word denotes any particular kind of teeth, as the maxillary, the canine, or the incisors.
