 אַכְזָר adjective cruel, fierce, of poison (ראֹשׁ) Deuteronomy 32:33; elsewhere of men, fierce Job 41:2; as substantive = a cruel one Job 30:21 (of God), Lamentations 4:3.

אַכְזָר (from the root כָּזַר prop. to break), adj. [“violence, but always used as a concr.”]

(1)  bold, brave, daring, Job 41:2.

(2)  harsh, cruel, Lamentations 4:3 hence, “an enemy,” Job 30:21.

(3)  fierce, virulent, used of poison, Deuteronomy 32:33.
