Qal Perfect 2 masculine singular וְכָפַלְתָּ֫ Exodus 26:9 and thou shalt double over the sixth curtain, i.e. probably use it double (Di); Passive participle כָּפוּל folded double, of the breastpiece (חשֶׁןׅ Exodus 28:16; Exodus 39:9 (twice in verse).
Niph`al Imperfect 3 feminine singular וְתִכָּפֵל Ezekiel 21:19 and let the sword be doubled, but very dubious; Co reads plausibly תְּשַׁכֵּל let the sword bereave (compare VB).
כָּפַל [“Eth. ከራለ፡ to divide equally, to distribute; whence ክፋል፡ part, portion; Arab. كِفْلُ portion, equal part; and Dual كِفْلَانِ כִּפְלַיִם.”] to fold together, to double, Exodus 26:6 part. pass. doubled, Exodus 28:16, 39:9 (Chald. קַפֵּלּ to double, to roll up; Syr. Ethpe. ܙܬܶܩܦܶܠ to be doubled, folded together. In the western languages, by transposition, there answer to this πλέκο, plico.)
