דֶּמַע m. a tear, metaph. used of that of olives and grapes, i.e. of wine and must (comp. Greek δάκρυον τῶν δένδρων, Theophr.; arborum lacrimœ, Plin. xi. 6). Exodus 22:28, מְלֵאָֽתְךָ וְדִמְעֲךָ, LXX. ἀπαρχὰς ἅλωνος καὶ ληνοῦ.
