I. p. 215), P Oxy I. 50.1 (a receipt—A.D. 100) Θέων καὶ οἱ μέ (τοχοι) τρα (πεζῖται) τῷ ἀγο (ρανόμῳ) χαίρειν. τέτακ (ται) . . . ., ib. X. 1284.6 (A.D. 250) δημ [ο ]σίων τραπ (ζιτῶν), ";public bankers,"; and ib. 1253.10 (iv/A.D.) certain sums δοθέντα αὐτοῖς διὰ Σαραπίωνος Εὐδαίμονος γενομ (ένου) τραπεζ (ίτου), ";paid through Sarapion son of Eudaemon, formerly banker.";
