συνηλικιώτης, συνηλικιωτου, ὁ (from σύν, and ἡλικία which see), one of the same age, all equal in age: Galatians 1:14. (Diodorus 1, 53 at the end; Dionysius Halicarnassus, Antiquities 10, 49 at the beginning; but in both passages the best manuscripts have ἡλικιώτης; (Corpus inscriptions 3, p. 434 no. 4929); Alciphron 1, 12). ταράσσω in the metaph. sense ";trouble,"; ";disquiet,"; ";perplex,"; as in Matthew 2:3 al., is seen in P Tebt II. 315.15 (ii/A.D.) τοιγαροῦν [μη ]δὲν ταραχ [θ ]ῇς, ";do not be disturbed on this account"; (Edd.), and Syll 373 (= .3 810).13 (i/A.D.) οὓς ἐπὶ τῇ ψευδῶς ἐπι [σ ]τολῇ πρὸς ὑμᾶς κομισθείσῃ τῷ τῶν ὑπάτων ὀνόματι ταραχθέντες πρός με ἐπέμψατε. For a somewhat more literal meaning ";stir up,"; as in Acts 17:8; Acts 17:13, cf. P Oxy II. 298.27 (i/A.D.) πάλι γὰρ πάντα ταράσσει, ";for he is upsetting everything again"; (Edd.), and P Giss I. 40ii. 20 (A.D. 212–5) (= Chrest. I. p. 38) τα ̣ράσσουσι τὴν πόλιν. MGr ταράζω (—άσσω), ";perplex.";
