The verb is used metaph. of union in wedlock, as in Matthew 19:6, Mark 10:9, in P Flor I. 36.9 (beg. iv/A.D.) τοὺς παῖδας [συ ]νέ [ζ ]ευξα, and Kaibel 372.22 (c. iv/A.D.)—
